Halloween Korker Bow

I made my first korker bow today.  I wanted something to go with her Halloween skirt I made her.  I didn’t have all the right colors, but did have enough of others to make it look good.  I think it turned out pretty good, after a bit of frustration of trying to tie it together with elastic cord, which broke on me 3 times before I gave up and went to wire to assemble it.

Baby Blanket

This blanket was long over due.  I made this for my friends daughter who is now 4 months old.  It’s only a little late (oops)  I owed my friend big time for watching K for me one day when my regular sitter was unable to take K while I was in class.

Car Seat Tent, Sheet & Boppy Cover

Today M and I finished off a few more projects.  While I finished up the car seat tent, which ended up being a total of 11 different pieces sewn together compared to the 6 pieces it is normally, M starting the cutting and sewing on the crib sheet. We wanted to try it on the crib mattress before we put the rest of the elastic corners on, so we put on 2 corners and she took it home to make sure it fits and will put in the other 2 corners at home herself.  She called me earlier and said she tried it on the mattress and said that it fit like a glove.  That was music to my ears!

After I finished the car seat tent, I started cutting the pieces for the boppy cover, and man piecing that thing was a pain. The front ended up being 3 different pieces because we didn’t have enough of the fabric that she originally wanted as the front due to the way it had to get cut apart for the car seat tent, and the back is 2 pieces because the way the fabric that we did have for it was laid out. The back is the red stripe you see in the car seat tent, I didn’t take any photos of the back though.

It is all coming together though and all turning out so much cuter than I would have imagined it would be. Next piece is cutting apart the twin bed skirt and making that into crib size, the crib bumper, and final piece of a hooded towel. At least that is all for now, the hooded towel was added to the list today, so who knows what will end up being added before we completely get done with this whole project.

Baby Quilt

A friend found out she was pregnant (after she was 21 weeks already in, YIKES) and she wanted help making some bedding and such for little D.  She picked out her theme, we met up at the fabric store and picked up the fabrics to accent the bedding set she bought.  We tore the old/new bedding set apart, since she could only find in twin size, and we are slowly piecing everything together.  Today we finished the quilt.  Almost have her car seat tent done, and have the sheet cut up ready to be sewn together to downsize it from twin to crib size.

Car Seat Tent

Final piece for my friends sister was a car seat tent.  Unfortunately since she lives in FL and I in CA, it will be a bit till we can get an actual picture of it set up on the car seat because I no longer have one on hand.  But here are the fabrics that were used for this one.

Nursing Cover

Tonight I finished up a nursing cover for the same friend as the below diaper clutch.  We both hate how the store bought ones are too short and never seem wide enough.  So I made sure I made this one to put the others to shame! haha. J’s sister picked out a deep blue green eyelet fabric, although the photos make it look more of an aqua blue.

Diaper Clutch With Attached Changing Pad

Tonight I followed a new-to-me tutorial from Allison over at Cluck Cluck Sew for a Diaper Clutch with an attached changing pad for a friends sister. It will hold a travel wipes container along with up to 4 diapers. I used a terry cloth for the lining and just a regular cotton fabric for the outer lining.

Easter M&M Treat Tubes

I have been seeing the M&M/Skittle treat tubes on a few different sites I visit, and decided to buy some tubes to start making some for myself. They can be made and customized to any event or holiday that you want them for, so what an easy way to provide a treat for adults and kids alike. And since it so close to Easter, what a better time to play around with them.  Here are the ones I made Sunday night.  I don’t remember the exact page that I found the tags on, but the designer of them is from AutumnLeahDesigns.com I plan on making future tags using SCAL and my E, but I wanted to play around with these first to see what size tags work best for them, before I started doing all the work of cutting, printing and gluing first.

Baby Shower–Yup another!

My friend, Jill, is having a boy and I of course couldn’t resist making a blanket for him.  And then had to make a tag to attached to the blanket once it was ribbon wrapped.  It was a nautical themed baby shower so I followed the theme, however I wish I would have had some blue papers on hand instead of the greens, but it still turned out great using SCAL for all pieces.

Baby Shower Card

I made a baby shower card for a friend having a little boy.  I made these on my new Cricut Expression (E in the future) and using SCAL.  I was tracing the images with a gel pen that was crap and died on me half way through the project.  I didn’t have any extras, and this was made the night before the shower, so I was unable to go buy a new one to finish it up.

Car Seat Tents

Another new creation made from the tutorial found here added to my store.  These are ones that have been made for friends.  Again I seem to have misplaced more photos. I have made several more of these, but can’t seem to find the photos.

Crochet Appliques

I made a few appliques, to add to hairclips or if you want you can even sew them onto clothing t cover up some small holes.  I sent these to a friend that makes and sells a ton of hairclips, and she is going to decide if she wants to order more to attach to her clips.

Crochet Butterflies

I made some cute little crocheted butterflies to attach to hair clips for K.  They looks so cute in her hair.  Of course, these have also been added to the store.

Baby/Toddler Blanket

I found another amazing baby/toddler blanket pattern on the Bernat website, and I just fell in love with it.  This will be for a baby shower and definitely going into the Etsy store.

Baby Shower Gifts

I have a friend who had a bird/birdcage theme for her nursery and was trying to get all of the décor all hand made.  So I made her a tag blanket and 2 pillows.  Pictured below is both the front and the back side of the pillows.  I found out I hate working with Minky material.  Not only is a pain to keep from stretching while sewing, it is MESSY to cut.

Diaper Wipe Clutches

I got tired of always carrying around a full diaper bag when just running to the store and wanted something that I could just throw in my purse.  I made a few of these, for myself and for a couple friends.
