Superpoints

I am usually not the type to try to get people to help me out on joining a referral type program to help me get “points” to go towards items, but this one actually would really help me out to get money saved up for K’s Birthday & Christmas gifts, and who couldn’t use help with that when you are on a fixed budget and have young children? I save my points up and buy Amazon Gift Cards, to which I just add to my Amazon account and am able to buy anything on Amazon my little K’s heart desires.  How could I resist my little K when she has learned that little cute trick of “batting her eyes” at me and daddy?  I just can’t do it!  Can you?

Center Butterfly Papers

I had lots of fun with this one, shading not only the backgrounds of the papers, but the butterfly itself.  You can find them free to download for your personal use HERE. There are a total of 24 papers in this set and all are 12x12 300dpi.

 

New Card Papers

I created 2 more card designs tonight.  Feel free to snag them up.  There are 6 different color files in the butterfly batch and 8 different color files corner flourish batch.

Eye Mask

Making a gift for daddy for daddy’s day and K insisted on one herself.  So I made her dig through my scraps fabric bin had her pick out which one she wanted.  I knew she wouldn’t wear it often, if at all after the initial photos taken, so I wasn’t worried about the backing fabric, so I just used some matching felt that I had laying around.  Here is a picture of hers completed and her wearing it.

Daddy, I doubt you’ll see this, since you never read my blog anyway, but in case you are, and it isn’t Father’s Day yet, TURN AWAY!!

Here is daddy’s. I made his from a fabric I had bought to make him his own apron, but then he found one at the swap meet that happens every weekend here.  So I had a ton of it to play with.  I used a black minky for the back.

Paper Making Love

I have really been enjoying my new found skill of scrapbook paper designs.  I had a lady in a Yahoo group comment about how she would love them in card size.  So I made one up and again just played with the colors. I made them as full sheet if you wanted to use the top side as a paper, or as the back side of the card.  I also made it as a foldable card with my watermark on it. Also today I made another 12x12 page.  There are 2 versions of it, as flat image and as an embossed looked image.  I love the way that the embossing makes the image pop a little more.  You can get these files HERE and HERE.

Mama Got Her New Purse

My old one was starting to get to the point of beyond washing to get it clean.  Doesn’t help that I had set it on top of a mini Babybel wax inside of a hot car..it had melted and I didn’t notice it right away and well the wax just embedded itself into the fibers of the old one. And it has been over a year, so it’s was time for a new one anyway.  Anyhow, I picked out some upholstery fabric for this one, just so it was a bit more sturdy, and let me just say, MAMA LOVES HER NEW PURSE!!

Paisley Print Scrapbook Papers

Scrapbook Paper

I was playing around in PE8 tonight and made a bunch of scrapbook papers.  I made one and just started having fun with it, ended up making 14 in total.  I think this will become yet another new hobby of mine.  They are 12x12 in size, so they are perfect for scrapbooking if I were to take them to get printed.

Car Seat Tent

Final piece for my friends sister was a car seat tent.  Unfortunately since she lives in FL and I in CA, it will be a bit till we can get an actual picture of it set up on the car seat because I no longer have one on hand.  But here are the fabrics that were used for this one.

Nursing Cover

Tonight I finished up a nursing cover for the same friend as the below diaper clutch.  We both hate how the store bought ones are too short and never seem wide enough.  So I made sure I made this one to put the others to shame! haha. J’s sister picked out a deep blue green eyelet fabric, although the photos make it look more of an aqua blue.

 

Diaper Clutch With Attached Changing Pad

Tonight I followed a new-to-me tutorial from Allison over at Cluck Cluck Sew for a Diaper Clutch with an attached changing pad for a friends sister. It will hold a travel wipes container along with up to 4 diapers. I used a terry cloth for the lining and just a regular cotton fabric for the outer lining.

Easter M&M Treat Tubes

I have been seeing the M&M/Skittle treat tubes on a few different sites I visit, and decided to buy some tubes to start making some for myself. They can be made and customized to any event or holiday that you want them for, so what an easy way to provide a treat for adults and kids alike. And since it so close to Easter, what a better time to play around with them.  Here are the ones I made Sunday night.  I don’t remember the exact page that I found the tags on, but the designer of them is from AutumnLeahDesigns.com I plan on making future tags using SCAL and my E, but I wanted to play around with these first to see what size tags work best for them, before I started doing all the work of cutting, printing and gluing first.

 

Afghan Order

Had another order for an adult size granny square afghan. This is the 3rd afghan this lady has ordered, she loves them! And the people she has been giving them to as gifts have been loving them as well. She also ordered a ladybug and an bumblebee, but I didn’t take pics of them cause I had or thought I had some already on this computer.

ACU Leopard Purse

Newest order for a purse was for a customized purse.  The lady wanted something that reflected her life.  The outside ACU to reflect her husband in the service.  The inside to reflect her love for leopards, and a lady bug applique on the strap to reflect her daughter.

I will say I was a bit skeptical about how this was going to look, but once it was put together, I was quite amazed that it looked pretty dang good.
